You know you’re running errands around the city, work errands to be precise, and you realise that you’re echoing the city’s personality. Bangalore is in a self-assured and sophisticated space as far as fashion is concerned and is largely casual and chic- walking the line between both fashion and functionality.
My range of activities throughout the day includes heading to the salon for an eyebrow pluck to scarfing down lunch with a friend to work meetings over Irani chai & biscuits to watching a sensible movie at a multiplex with the mother. So to be appropriately dressed for every single one of these activities is to mix both work and play.
On most days you’ll spot me in a pair of relaxed denims and a breton striped t-shirt along with my Adidas Los Angeles. On other days you’ll notice that I’ve swapped the t-shirt for a feminine blouse because I’ve probably had half an hour to spare in the morning of the day to iron the blouse.
This is just another one of those days where I found comfort in an arbitrary top-knot, a tailored blouse (from a boutique in Seminyak, Bali) with some shoulder shimmy and a pair of light wash ripped denims (from Aeropostale) . My accessories included a structured box bag from Covo with my initials on it, these super comfortable + super cheap espadrille flats from Rubi, Singapore and Vivo’s latest offering- the Vivo V5s phone in Electrified Blue. And no make-up bc this was an unplanned shoot and also because you don’t always need make-up (except for eyebrows though, because that ish is equivalent to the basic necessities of life).
